LOVE

    The attribute Love, of spiritual fruit, as found in Galatians 5:22 needs to be pinned down and defined more precisely. The reason is that in the English language "love" is ambiguous in its meaning. In the Greek language, there are three distinct words for love. We shall only focus on the one Paul uses in Galatians 5:22, the definitions are as follows:

From G25; love, that is, affection or benevolence; specifically (plural) a love feast: - (feast of) charity ([-ably]), dear, love.

Perhaps from ἄγαν agan (much; or compare [H5689]); to love (in a social or moral sense): - (be-) love (-ed). Compare G5368.

Here are some more verses from scripture which use the word agape,  signified by the Strong's number 25 and 26 and translated as "love", or "charity" in the KJV. From these verses it is hoped that we get a full understanding of what agape is all about for our weekly devotion, without disregarding the others, but we shall soon discover that love embodies all the others, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance:
