And built |
Here we see that God builds a wife for his son Adam, from Adam's very own flesh. It is clear from the next verse that Adam was aware that she was built from his own substance. I wonder if this was the way God built the counterparts for the animals too, we do know that he formed them from the ground, but did he form the male animal, and then from the male, the female as he did the first woman? It would be speculation to assume so, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
