Notice the land animals all have plants to eat at this point in time, although they may have eaten flesh before this point. Notice that this only includes the land animals, not the sea creatures. So the question might be, when did anyone start to eat flesh? I would venture to guess, when a certain person was cursed such that the Land would not yield for him, nor for his offspring, forcing him to seek other means to aquire food.
